We’ve got more space and a bigger selection of clothing, children’s items, furnishings and decor and more!

You’ll find many “gently used” items available for sale at a great price while helping our local community mission. Like our page on Facebook to stay in the know about future shopping opportunities, donation drives and other events.

Our normal Thrift Shop hours are
Wednesdays: Noon – 4 PM
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: 9 AM – 1 PM

Brookside Thrift ShopLooking to clean out your attic, garage or basement? Is it time to clean our your closets for Spring of Fall? Do you have items you would like to donate to our thrift shop? Thinking about holding a garage sale but really don’t have time?

We could always use additional “gently used” items for our Thrift Shop and can provide you with a donation receipt upon request. Scroll down to see items that we can accept for donation.

Brookside Thrift Shop Merchandise Donation Policy
Items may be dropped off at the shop during Thrift Shop business hours, or placed in the donation box located in the back hallway near the office during church office hours. Items must be clean and in good working order.

We gladly accept:

  • Housewares – dishes, pots & pans, utensils, lamps, etc.
  • Small Appliances – toasters, coffee makers, etc.
  • Domestics – blankets, linens, curtains, etc.
  • Clothing – infant, children, women, and men
  • Fashion Accessories and Jewelry
  • Books, DVDs, CDs
  • Infant and kid items that are not on a recall list – For Recent Recalls go to… http://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/
  • Toys & Stuffed Animals
  • Sports Equipment
  • Seasonal Items
  • Art & Collectibles
  • Hand Tools & Gardening Tools

We cannot accept:

Volunteer

Do you have some extra time or would like to volunteer in our thrift shop? Help is always needed sorting, folding, and repairing items. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the church office with the best way to reach you.

Additional Information

The Thrift Shop is a service of Brookside Congregational Church and serves the larger community of greater Manchester. The mission of the Thrift Shop is to accept donations of clothing and household goods on behalf of the church and sell those items to raise money to further the charitable and religious missions of the church.
