Brookside Congregational Church’s Called To Care Program
The Called to Care ministry tends to our church family during both challenging and joyous times.
We do this through sending cards, making phone calls, knitting prayer shawls, visiting the sick and shut in, providing rides, mailing care packages to our college students, and cooking and delivering meals. We are a group of more than 40 volunteers who are dedicated to caring for our church community.
BROOKSIDE UCC VISITATION MINISTRY
WHAT IS THE VISITATION MINISTRY?
The Visitation Ministry at Brookside UCC is a Called To Care Ministry, consisting of Visitation Teams made up of two Visitors each. The Visitation Ministry helps our church family to express the Christian love and concern we genuinely feel for one another by maintaining an atmosphere of warmth and concern within our church family.
WHAT WILL THE VISITATION TEAMS DO?
The Visitation Teams express hospitality to those who are not able to get out to attend worship or other church events.
They call on our shut-in and homebound members as well as those who may be temporarily homebound due to illness.
They help carry burdens and share in our many joys and blessings.
